RASPBERRY POPS

THESE ALL NATURAL RASPBERRY POPS ARE HEALTHIER THAN A PACKAGED POPSICLE OR FRUIT BAR

100% fruit pops with no added sugar!

INGREDIENTS – makes 6 pops

3C fresh raspberries

1C filtered water

3T fresh squeezed lime juice

1/4t guar gum – optional this is what keeps commercial frozen confections soft enough to bite

*Optional Sweetener of you choice – see below

Popsicle Sticks or Bamboo Forks

*3 ounce Dixie Cups, paper not plastic, please it contains harmful chemicals that can be released into food when frozen or heated

DIRECTIONS: In a blender, add all ingredients and mix well.  Pour into 3 ounce size paper Dixie cups.  Add a bamboo fork or other stick. Put in freezer until frozen solid.  Remove paper cup by tearing it away from the frozen pop, discard paper, and enjoy!  Tip: if paper does not tear away easily, run the pop under warm water.

FRESH LIMES AND RASPBERRIES ARE PACKED WITH CANCER

FIGHTING ANTIOXIDANTS AND VITAMIN C

*SWEETENER: If the natural sugar in the fruit is not enough for you and you absolutely must sweeten then try using 100% liquid Stevia drops or 100% Stevia powder from the health food store. Do not buy Stevia from the grocery store because the big commercial brands are processed with harmful chemicals and have added fillers.

You can also use 3T of coconut sugar added to the blender. Coconut sugar has a fairly low glycemic index of 35 and is only 45 calories per tablespoon. But it is still sugar so just eat one pop and try to eat it after a meal containing protein and healthy fat so the sugar enters your system more slowly and doesn’t spike your blood sugar and get stored as fat.

Or use 3T of Navitas Naturals Lucuma Powder added to the blender. Made from the naturally sweet Lucuma fruit, it contains vitamins and minerals and has a low glycemic index of about 25 with 60 calories per tablespoon.
